Encephalocele (E) is a defect of the neural tube that refers to congenital malformations featured by skull defect and dura with extracranial spread of intracranial structures. Occipital encephalocele (OE) are the most common form of this congenital disorder and are manifested as a swelling of different sizes over the occipital bone in the midline. Proper diagnosis and treatment is highly important in the management of this congenital malformation of brain.

The idea of transplanting organs is not new, nor is the disease of obesity. Obese transplant recipients have greater risk of early death than their cohorts, which is not due to increased rejection but due to obesity-related complications, including arterial hypertension, diabetes, and delayed graft function. Here, our aim was to evaluate the effects of bariatric surgery versus lifestyle changes on outcomes of moderate to severely obese renal transplant recipients.

The objective of this study was to assess changes in patient quality of life (QoL) after orthognathic surgery at the Kuwait University Dental Clinic. A self-administered Arabic version of the Orthognathic Quality of Life Questionnaire (OQLQ) and two different visual analogue scales (VAS) were used. Sixty-six patients participated (63.6% female).
